ab workout
ryluv2surf asked:

my uppermost ‘Rectus abdominis’ on the right side just below the rib cage is stronger than the left, it may be from inconsitent ab workouts and from shooting (in water polo); i hope it isn’t a hernia. when i flex my abdominal muscles, it bulges out more than the other muscles. It seems larger than my other upper-ab muscles.

roll your hands across your stomach without flexing, if it’s soft, and unrigid, or feels the same all the way through, you likely don’t have a hernia, a hernia would generally be a localized area that’s very rigid. that’s not an exact science though, just a generalization, there are plenty of types of hernias and if you’re unsure, get examined.

to work that area, lay on your back, feet on the ground, put your left hand on the back of your head, and lift your elbow up to your right knee.
