    it is good to stretch any muscle you exercise so you don’t cramp up

    It’s wonderful to stretch your abbs after a work out. Stretching, yes helps so you don’t cramp up but it also helps keep you from getting too sore the next day and with the formation of your muscles.

    I strech afterwards simply because my abs are sore, and streching makes them not sore.

    yes stretching after any workout is a good idea. When you are doing crunches or situps or whatever the case may be, you are contracting your abs. Stretching relieves the tension from this by lengthening the abs so they can relax so you will not be as stiff or sore the next day, it will also help prevent injuries
