If you are a beginner, you would need to take probably a month or two to see the result.
All you need to do is crunches and sit-ups at home. Easy, and free.
Do it 3 sets, with each set about 20 to 25 reps, then take a 1 minute rest and then go on another set. As times go by, you’ll need to add more reps and sets according to your condition.
And only do it every other day, cause you need to leave your body for a rest to recover.
Hope I helped here.

your abs may already be stong and in good shape but you may have a layer of fat covering it which means you need to start jogging / Running / Cycling

Look through mens health’s website, they’ve got some really good abdominal workouts, espiecially the one from this months issue. Also remember not to work your abs everyday, you wont see results without a day of rest, try going mon., wed., fri. AND make sure youre doing planks/bridges they work wonders.
you should see results pretty quickly, as for a time frame though, it varies on your body and any previous abdominal muscle youve had. it should be pretty quick though if were to guess.
