Madmaxthe2nd asked:
I have been working so hard to get a six pack. I have a very very faint set. I have worked on them for maybe more than a half a year and I still can not achieve a nice six pack. I dont know if its growing fat or whatever its called, but there is a thin layer of skin, or fat that I have been told it is growing fat. I have done various crunches and working so hard on them to get them harder and flashier. All I need to know is a guaranteed system that will help a kid in high school like me achieve a nice six pack. I would like to know if i can get the pack maybe through the course of the summer, because i am really dedicated. I know this is kind of a weird question to ask, but I have no where else to ask. Help is greatly appreciated.

You can definately get it during the summer. The exercising is directly tied in with the dieting. You want to eat often but not more so spread your meals out over the day at least 6 meals. Obviously eat healthfully and plenty of protein.
You want to do a lot of cardio because it will burn fat. You want to go to menshealth.com and look for their ab workouts. Try them all, work your abs twice a week. It is important to have variations in your workout, constantly change it so you work different parts and give your abs a greater challenge. If you are really devoted, do whole bodybuilding (especially in the thighs), work to increase your metabolism and become a fat burning machine. They have workouts on menshealth to raise your metabolism so your body burns all day.

it can come down to genetics. In other words some people will never have extremly defined abs and some will. Also you will find after highschool you may still grow more muscular yet, and all your muscles will develope the ability to be more pronounced. I am farily muscle bound at 235lbs but was only 180lbs at highschool and could not get defined abs till I turned 18 or so.
generally you can improve them by treating them like you are bodybuilding them. In other words start doing weight assisted situps, crunches and all the rest with weight plates on your stomach or forehead, feet locked in or held by someone. Also do ‘good mornings/moorings/reverse situps’ where you lock your feet into an apparatus so you are leaning forward over it and arch your back up, holding weight plates. Work up to heavy weights, then with a twist side to side at the top-the abs and obliques will develope like any muscle doing weights and get bigger
However remember to work up slow for all of them so you don;t hurt your back and have a days recovery between workouts like for any other body part.

hahaha, thats awsome, well i got mine by joining the marins, but some of the same princeples apply. try doing 6 inches, which if you dont know what they are..: you lay on your back and lift both your legs up about 6 inches, up over your head, then back to 6 inches. this will cause burn in about 20 minutes which means its building muscles.
what i did before i joined was i held cinder blocks in both hands and did torso twists. it stretches all your lower torso muscles and builds incredible strength.
also try laying off suger and greasy food,(not assuming you do or dont) it causes you to sweat more and thus that layer of fatty tissue.
also run every day. before i had noticable definition i had to be able to run at LEAST 2 miles without stopping.
